Intelligence Insights – An update from our Intelligence Team Q2 – 2023

During the second quarter of 2023, Acuminor has published 12 releases of new data models accessible within our products, containing content and analysis across international, European and domestic levels.

Updates on an international level include the addition of reports from:

  • FATF.
  • Institute for Economics and Peace.

Updates on a European level include the addition of reports from:

  • European Commission.
  • European Public Prosecutor's Office.

Changes to country risk lists include:

  • FATF countries under increased monitoring.

On a domestic level, Denmark and Sweden have been updated to reflect the most recently published NRAs. With respect to domestic ‘deep dive’ content, customers with access to financial crime threat intelligence have received updates for Norway with reports from the Norwegian Police Authority. Sweden has been updated with reports from the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Swedish Police Authority and Fair Play Bygg. The UK has been updated with reports from the National Crime Agency, the Metropolitan Police Service and RUSI UK.

We constantly monitor the situation in Ukraine and the impact this might have on our content related to Sanctions.

Upcoming changes to content and products

ThreatCards

The intelligence and development teams have released a new design for the ThreatCards. This release has included:

  • Summaries for key reports.
  • 60+ new threat descriptions.
  • 200+ new risk indicator descriptions.

Risk indicator descriptions will be added continuously to provide additional clarity and context.

Proliferation Financing

During Q3, the intelligence team will release a new threat category on Proliferation Financing. The first release will contain three threats and 30+ new risk indicators relevant for proliferation financing derived from the analysed reports.
